    Description

Good afternoon from Congers, NY.  I feel like when I do an internet search for something, and can't find any comparable results, we can call something "rare".  This interesting "compact" (change purse / wallet) fits the bill.  Found this one this morning in a local estate, happy to offer it here.  Happy buying!
Really unusual (I cannot find a comparable example) "Danny's / Hide-A-Way/ New York Miami Beach" compact style change purse / ladies wallet.  The object is 2 7/8" across the one side, just shy of 2.5" tall.  It looks like a compact from the outside.  The interior has a plastic fitted insert with room for halves, quarters, nickels, dimes and pennies.  There is a bill clip at the top.  No mirror at the top (no glue residue present), no manufacturers name anywhere.
Danny's is the late lamented iconic watering hole located at 151 E 45th St.  When Danny went out of business over unpaid taxes, Frank Sinatra himself stood Danny to a loan to reopen.  Danny's made an appearance on Mad Men in the 2012 season 5 finale when Don Draper orders a "Neat Old Fashioned" (good drink choice, Mr. Draper).
Offered for sale with an opening bid of .76, with free 1st Class shipping (padded envelope).  Sent via 1st class mail in the Continental U.S.  International bidders pay International postage.  If you have any other questions, feel free to send them over.
The item will be carefully packaged and shipped via 1st Class Mail.  I will pay for insurance for full value of the item; I will also pay for any additional domestic shipping charges not indicated here or shipping overages.  You may/will need to sign for the item when it arrives.  I have no control over your tax situation, eBay automatically charges and collects tax in your jurisdiction where appropriate.
