    Antique Italian (probably Firenze) hand-painted enamel gold Gilt 800 silver compact. Art nouveau artistry, neoclassical scene fishing at the pond. Extraordinarily detailed hand-painted enameled compact features for people fishing at the pond in front of large trees. An intricate floral design is hand engraved on the bottom of this compact. The interior is gilded in a gold wash finish. Stamped 800, made in Italy and the Maker's Mark hallmark. This early 1900s antique is in near mint condition and has retained its Rich natural patina throughout the piece. 3" x 3 1/2".
